Now My next problem is names.
Does this bunch have names?
Either or, i am sure you will agree with me, that it will be simpler for me just to make names up than for you to start listing them XD

Pick names from a hat or make them up. XD I don't remember what I name things.

Believe me, I dont either.

I even forget whole characters.

Like, When i was seven, I created an entire world, just like that, in which I was a Magical warrior princess, ect.

My sister, shortly after discovering the program that I am using for the game, wanted to make me a game of this world for my birthday. She hadnt finished in time, and forgot about it.

But then, recently, we got onto the topic of games, and somehow combined with my world.

She showed me the game, and i started playing right away.

I came across a suposedly main character and was like: "Who the Whatever is that?"

My sister told me, i had told her, at the age of somewhere between eight and eleven (i cant remember when this was) I had told her this Magical Princess I was had a special friend called that. I did not recognise the name in the slightest.

HAHA Adorable!!!
Wow - do you do these all by hand?!

PS; Otakon, is it a good con for plush makers? I've seen a lot of artisans speak of it.

Yup, all hand-made goodness. XD

Otakon IS a good place for plushmakers, but you need to come stocked with a LOT. The puggles sell out really fast there!

Nice! Maybe I should look into it a little more!
I'm still fairly new to the craft, and it's hard to find people willing to dish out on good spots to get your stuff out there.

I've found Otakon to be an all around pleasant experience in that regard.

Assuming you can get your table -- when they announce it, reservation does go pretty quick --, the whole thing is fairly seamless. I got there on Friday to pick up my badge, spent the night in the hotel, then just got to the artist ally an hour before it opened to set up and there it was!

Bring a friend. You'll need a buddy to get food or to watch stuff when you need to use the restroom. XD

Also, in my convention experience, Otakon may be big but it's not crowded to the point that it hurts. You get a very large audience to see your work without the headaches of migrating through thick crowds of fangirls.

Wow, thanks for all that info.
I was thinking of doing Mocca and NYCC this year, but wanted to do one or two more specialized in my craft.

Is there other plush-related cons?

callykarishokka Featured By Owner Oct 25, 2010  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
I'm not sure, but there probably are. XD

DO NOT do NYCC unless you feel you're ready for it. The crowds overwhelmed me something awful, and the noise just made my head hurt. Way too small a space for so many people; there was PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC.

Ha, yeah I heard this year was crazy at NYCC. My boyfriend actually had a table but he couldn't make it. If I had the inventory, I would've been there in no time!

Hopefully they don't overbook it for 2011.
I'd love to do SDCC one day.... -sighs- one day.

Getting a table there is impossible!

I havn't decided if I want to go to the trouble of sewing for Otakon 2010. Six months of frenzy for eight hours of stress to spend $70 on a table when I could make the same money from home? XD
